For our next release, Salvation Records have unearthed a misplaced recording of Ceredigion seaside string-laden psychedelic funk.  From the Seaside town of Aberystwyth comes the fuzzed out library orchestra, Prosiect Cerddorol INCA (INCA Music Project), to be released as a limited edition gatefold 7″, download and stream on 25th September 2015.

Website Facebook “Conceived by former Radio Luxembourg member Rhys Spikes, this endeavour featured collaborations and co conspirators to create alternative soundtracks for long forgotten but forever treasured animated films for the “Cardi” youth.

Beginning as a “picture” house band for the Aberystwyth Art Centre cinema, INCA expanded their repertoire and ventured out beyond its creative confines to become a regional oddity on the live circuit. Fuelled by discarded psych records found in Ceredigion Charity shops as well as continuing the legacy as Welsh language musical “unconventionalists” Y Dyniadon Ynfyd Hirfelyn Tesog and AD 73, INCA were unlike anything else that came out of mid Wales. With influences as perverse as Joe Byrd and the Field Hippies, Elephant Memory and Fifty Foot hose a danceable maelstrom was created by using modified and discombobulated orchestra instruments and home made electronic gadgets.

The recordings you will hear on this release were created at Blaen Cae studio in north Wales on THE National Eisteddfod week in 2008.Overseen by Beat Box heavyweight and former Genod Droog front man Ed Holden. (who’s “phormula” proved invaluable for catching the projects sound) and should have been released on the “Sbrigyn ymborth” label. Alas this was not to be and the tapes were stored away until the audio archaeologists at Salvation discovered them.”

Mae Salvation Records wedi ailddarganfod recordiad coll o ffync seicadelaidd â llinynnau o’r “lle ger y lli”. O dref lan môr yng Ngheredigion daw cerddorfa amgen Aberystwyth, Prosiect Cerddorol INCA. Cafodd y prosiect ei gychwyn a’i gynnal gan gyn-aelod o Radio Luxembourg, Rhys Spikes, ac roedd yn cyfuno nifer o gerddorion gwahanol i greu trac sain amgen i hen ffilmiau plant, a hynny er diddanwch i ieuenctid ardal Ceredigion.
Gan ddechrau fel perfformwyr yn sinema Canolfan y Celfyddydau, aeth INCA yn eu blaenau i ledu eu gorwelion a dod yn rhyfeddod yn y rhanbarth ar lwyfannau byw. Wedi eu dylanwadu gan hen recordiau seicadelaidd o siopau elusen ledled y sir, ac yn llinach Dyniadon Ynfyd Hirfelyn Tesog ac AD73, roedd INCA yn gwbl wahanol i unrhyw beth arall. Crëwyd y potes cerddorol cyffrous drwy ddefnyddio offerynnau wedi eu haddasu a’u haildrefnu a theclynnau electronig cartref.
Recordiwyd y traciau yn stiwdio Blaen y Cae yn ystod wythnos y Steddfod yn 2008 dan oruchwyliaeth Ed Holden, a ddefnyddiodd ei “fformiwla” unigryw i gofnodi synau’r prosiect.Dylai’r caneuon fod wedi cael eu rhyddhau ar label Sbrigyn Ymborth, ond nid felly y bu, a bu’r tapiau ynghudd hyd nes i’r archeolegwyr sain yn Salvation eu hailddarganfod.Dyma siawns i glywed sesiwn gyntaf cerddorion sydd erbyn hyn yn chwarae mewn bandiau cyffrous fel Estrons, Afro Cluster, Me and My Friends ac Inc.A.
